Simple Plan Rocks My World!

Simple Plan is a French Canadian pop punk band based in Montréal, Québec. They have released three studio albums: No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls (2002), Still Not Getting Any... (2004), and Simple Plan (2008), as well as two widely marketed live albums: Live in Japan 2002 (2003) and MTV Hard Rock Live (2005).

Simple Plan began in 1993 with the formation of a band named Reset by friends Pierre Bouvier, Charles-André "Chuck" Comeau, Philippe Jolicoeur, and Adrian White. Reset toured around Canada with bands such as MXPX, Ten Foot Pole, and Face to Face, but only managed to gain modest popularity. The debut album, No Worries, was released in 1998, and Comeau left soon after to go to college. Two years later he met with high school friends Jean-François "Jeff" Stinco and Sébastien Lefebvre who were in separate bands of their own, and combined to create the band.Meanwhile, Reset released a second CD, No Limits (the two CDs would be re-released as a single CD in 2006, with liner note comments from Bouvier and Comeau). In late 1999, Comeau and Bouvier reacquainted at a Sugar Ray concert and Bouvier left Reset soon after to join Comeau. David Desrosiers This allowed Bouvier, who had doubled as the band's front man and bassist, to concentrate on the singing. replaced Bouvier in Reset, but when asked to join the foursome, he too left the band six months later.

The origin of the band's name is obscure. Band members have given various comical responses on this point, including that the band was their simple plan to avoid obtaining a "real" job. However, most likely, the name is derived from the movie "A Simple Plan".The name was only intended to be temporary, but they never thought of anything better, and with shows coming up for the new band, the name stuck.

Story Of The Year --- Terrified Lyrics

Here in this town, safe and guarded
We call it home, a feeling that we share
Now leave this place, clinging to hope
In this midnight prayer
If we hold our breath, float beyond this
We'll be reborn, I will carry us home

Are you still alive? Are you scared inside? Providence is blind when you're terrified Are you still alive? Are you scared inside? When we've reached the end of the road I will carry us home

Oh no, if all our sin was only a hope
And meaningless and true
Now will I expire holding the world
In safety for you
If we make it through and I can save you
With this heart I know, I will carry us home

Are you still alive? Are you scared inside? Providence is blind when you're terrified Are you still alive? Are you scared inside? When we've reached the end of the road (Reached the end of the road) I will carry us home

And now I'm so far away from you
Will I be making any difference after leaving you all alone?
And now I'm so far away from home
Can I justify my actions after leaving you here in this town?
Safe and guarded, we call it home
A feeling that we shared

Are you still alive? Are you scared inside?
Providence is blind when you're terrified
Are you still alive? If you're scared inside (I will carry you home)
I will carry us home
Are you still alive? Are you scared inside?
Providence is blind when you're terrified
Are you still alive? Are you scared inside?
When we've reached the end of the road (Reached the end of the road)
When we've reached the end of the road (Reached the end of the road)
I will carry us home
Carry us home

Interview with 'Andrea and Caroline' The Corrs

Magazine (Veronica)
Date: June 8, 2004

The Corrs made hits with Radio and Breathless, and after that, we heard nothing of the Irish band. But the three beautiful sisters and their brother are back with a new album: Borrowed heaven. Backup talked with the lead singer Andrea and the drummer Caroline in London.

What have you done for the last years? It was so quiet?

Caroline: Yeah, we were out of picture for a while, but the period flied for us. I am married and got a baby, Sharon married as well, and Andrea made a movie. We worked a while on Borrowed Heaven as well.
What kind of image do you think The Corrs have?
Caroline: A real clean image. I think people see us as an impeccalbe Irish family. Sometimes, they would be somewhat confused, because we make popsong ánd rocksongs.
Andrea: We don?t care much about our image, as long as the music makes people happy. That would be nice.
Where was your last argument about?
Andrea: Oh, I don?t remember anymore. Our arguments are mostly about what songs should be on the album, and how the cover of the cd should look like. But arguments don?t take a long time, we are a little too old for that.
Caroline: As we really stuck on arguments, we vote about it. When two of us vote against, our manager makes the decision.
You are away for a weekend. Who will take care of your cats?
Andrea: At least not Jim. He will put them in the washing machine, or something. I will ask Sharon.
Caroline: Yeah, they will die by Jim. I choose Sharon as well.
You have a secret. Whom do you tell it to?
Andrea: To Caroline.
Caroline: To Andrea. We are close of age, and spent a lot of time together when we were young.
You will go on a relaxed holiday. Who do you go with?
Andrea: I can go with all three on holidays, but it wouldn?t be relaxed with Jim. I would need another holiday to recover. So, I will go with Sharon or with Caroline.
Caroline: With Andrea.
You will go out for a vehement night. Who do you take?
Andrea: Sharon or Jim. Caroline has a baby, so she doesn?t go out that much anymore.
Caroline: That?s not true! We go with all of us. We all are good in going out.
Who would you like to walk the marathon with?
Andrea: With Caroline.
Caroline: With Andrea. We have walked a marathon before, and that was great.
You want to shop. Who do you take?
Andrea: I go with Caroline. She really needs help with choosing clothes.
Caroline: Yeah, if you let me shop alone, I certainly will come back with the wrong clothes. The colours won?t match etcetera. I really need a stylist.
Who will get your down to earth when you are upset?
Andrea: That?s Caroline. She is really good at it. We are like twins sometime. There?s a kind of telepathic connection between us.
What do you think of Idols?
Andrea: I don?t like the programm. It is cheap amusement, at the cost of the feelings of the youth. They have a dream, and are laughed out by the whole country, because they have big ears or sing out of key.
Caroline: I have never seen real talent on Idols. Real artists have charism, by Idols, everyone is the same. But I do like Will Young. He was the only one in the show who didn?t irritated me.
Andrea: Candidates do too difficult things with their voices. Like Christina Aguilera. I never do that. I think I will never win a singing contest.
Andrea, you have played a small role in the movie Evita, and last year in ?The boys from county Clare?. Do you have more movieplans?
Andrea: Yeah, I certainly would like to act more. But then, I will play very good characters. Rolls like Elisabeth Taylor in ?Who?s afraid of Virginia Woolf? or Vivien Leigh in ?Gone with the wind?. I love movies as an art. They need to have a good script.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
About Jim:
Andrea: Jim is a real party animal. He is really funny, sensitive, social and trustable. He is technical as well, he loves gadgets. As a child he was fascinated by helicopters, and now he flies himself in a heli.

About Sharon:
Andrea: Sharon is a strong woman. Maybe she looks tough, but she is really sensitive and polite. She?s a good listener. And when you need advice how to install your house: Sharon is the person. She is really good in house architecture.

About Andrea:
Caroline: You can have a lot of fun with Andrea. Beside that, she is really artistic. She makes music, she?s good at drawing, and is acting at the moment. But she is chotic, she loses things a lot. Further, her cell phone is always off. She is complete unreachable.

About Caroline:
Andrea: Caroline has a brilliant brain. She has an opinion about everything, but she sees the things a bit too much black-wite. She is really protective and caring. She is strong as well, and therefore she has trouble sometimes to show her emotions.

Borrowed Heaven

Borrowed Heaven is an album by The Corrs and it was produced by Olle Romo. The album was released 31 May 2004...

For this album Sharon Corr managed to write and play and make a significant contribution with songs such as 'Hideaway', 'Long Night', and 'Goodbye'.

The Corrs created a folkier, edgier, and more guitar oriented album than previous albums, notably their year 2000 album In Blue. This is because Jim Corr plays most of the guitars and keyboards.

Reviews for this album varied greatly. Fans of the band generally agree the album represents a return of sorts to the group's Celtic folk pop origins after the much 'poppier' In Blue released in 2000.

The band released three singles from this album: 'Summer Sunshine', 'Angel', and 'Long Night'. A remixed version of 'Goodbye' was released as a download-only single in 2006. Other notable tracks include the title track 'Borrowed Heaven' which featured an appearance from Ladysmith Black Mambazo, and 'Time Enough For Tears' which was penned by U2's Bono.
